Keep It In Front Of Them

Find prominent places in your church to display this year’s summer camp brochure.

Remind folks through announcements in worship, newsletters and bulletins where brochures can be found. We have plenty of brochures…so if you need some, we will send them to you. Call 317.924.1321 and we will send you as many as you need.

Furthermore, designate a place in your church that you will promote camp year round. Post Impact 2818 Outdoor Ministries mailings and other camp information for your families.

Promote A Specific Week of Camp

Choose one elementary camp, one jr high camp and one sr high camp. Encourage all of your campers to attend those week’s together. Promote camp opportunities to a different age-group each week.

Utilize Your Church Bulletin/Newsletter

Have a designated camp section in your church bulletin or newsletter. Ask returning campers to make a picture or share a story about their camping experience that you could include or post. Keep families up to date on registration deadlines, share a Top 10 list of reasons to attend camp, let members know how they can contribute to your church’s scholarship fund, etc.

Furthermore, list the names of campers registered for camp. Others may choose to go to the same event if they know someone that is already going and parents can coordinate rides, etc. 3x

Camper, Parent, Counselor, Director Testimonials

Many of your children, youth and adults have already attended camp as a camper or volunteer. Ask them to share stories with the rest of your congregation. The best way to learn about camp is from someone you know who’s experienced it!

Camp Visit

Plan a church picnic, adult, or family retreat at an Impact 2818 Outdoor Ministries site. This allows parents to really see what camp is all about!

Camp Coordinator

Create a volunteer position for a member of your church. The Camp Coordinator will serve as the connection between Impact 2818 Outdoor Ministries and your local church. This person should receive Impact 2818 Outdoor Ministries mailings sent to your church and obtain other info from our website. They can communicate camp information to the congregation and assist families in registering for camp, applying for scholarships and becoming volunteers.

Offer church scholarships to assist your families. We have several fundraising ideas, and our iCash cards make giving easy!
