What Makes Impact 2818 Camps Unique?

Many camping ministries struggle with what is know as the “after camp experience,” in which they try and figure out how to maintain the “spiritual high” of camp with students after they return home.

At Impact 2818, our camping model is much different in that we encourage leaders (children’s pastors, youth pastors, senior pastors, other church volunteers) to attend camp as a volunteer with their students. We believe that through this style of ministry church leaders & volunteers can be a part of the hands-on, intentional ministry that makes disciples for Jesus Christ. By doing this, they can then take camp experiences back home with them and can continue to build upon the spiritual development of campers. Leaders and volunteers are encouraged to serve as directors or counselors for camp. Over 1,200 volunteers serve in our ministry each year.

We have chosen this model because we know that the local church is the primary vehicle for fostering relationships and making disciples for Jesus Christ. Our desire at Impact 2818 is to help further develop these relationships and groups by offering programs that keep faith communities together throughout the experience and beyond.
